I Have the Cutest New Niece Evers!

Savannah is so cute!! I'm so sad I can't be home right now to see my new niece... :( she is beautiful though and I can't wait to see her. I am so happy for Mike and Alisha, they will be great parents! I can't believe there are now two nieces I have that I haven't even met. I miss all those cute little kids. There are a lot of kids in the Haywards Heath ward and they are so much fun. I can't wait till I can actually hold them again though. I still think Sisters should be an exception to that rule...

So Sister Howard and I went to Brighton last week and it was gorgeous! right on the coast!!! It was so much fun :) but guess what. We got there and my camera died so I didn't even get any pics :( Sis Howard took a couple so I'll try and send some soon.
This week is transfers...already. It is going by faster and faster every transfer. It is really weird. We will be getting moves calls probably tomorrow. Any predictions? We are getting 6 new sisters and none are going home so there will be tons of changes. I really want to stay in Haywards Heath with Sister Howard though.. I'm thinking I've had my fair share of training after Sister Keogh and then the twins so I'm thinking I probably won't be training this transfer. I really really want to stay in Haywards Heath through Christmas. We'll see.. I like it here a lot! I still miss High Wycombe though. That was definitely my favorite place but I do love Haywards Heath. There are some really great people here. We are really trying to work with the members a lot here and get them excited about missionary work and basically just teaching them how to be missionaries. It's going pretty well. Our ward mission leader is really cool. Definitely a 'git er done' kinda guy which is perfect with missionary work!

Well it has been a really great week! Things are going well. The VC is always great, we've been having tons of people come in lately. There's been so many members bringing in non member friends so we've had a lot of teaching opportunities. Things are moving forwards in Haywards Heath as well. As I've said we've been doing a lot of work with the members and also just trying to stop by all the LA's the Bishop has asked us to see. We've struggled a bit with finding new investigators but this week we met a really cool girl. Her name is Alice. We talked to her briefly while she was waiting for the bus and she invited us to come back to her house. I will admit, I was a bit skeptical. I thought she was going to stand us up. When she opened the door she had just woken up and said she had an awful night but she still invited us in! The teach was amazing! We taught restoration and it went so well. Sister Howard and I had worked really hard to be prepared for that teach and we had prayed a lot...

...Ok I'll have to cut that story short. Sister Howard and I just started teaching a guy on a computer next to us. His name is Matthew and he goes to alaska a lot. perfect! sister howard made that connection, little miss alaska, and now we have a new investigator. yeah baby. But now I have no time to write. Sorry!
Alice is amazing! The teach with her was incredible. when we taught her about prophets she said she's always wondered why we don't have prophets anymore and when we extended baptism she said she's always wanted to be baptized! Yesss :) she's cool! She's getting baptized November 19 so keep her in your prayers.

Well sorry for the short email. I ran out of time.
I love you all so much! thank you for everything! I miss you and I'm sad I couldn't be there for the new baby but life is great out here! I love it!
Have a great week!

Left Side

My driving test is in about two weeks and I really hope I pass because Sister Howard's driving is scary! haha she is definitely improving but a few times we've ended up on the right side which is the wrong side. It's kind of funny but super scary. Bless her :) Sister Howard is really improving with her confidence, she's come so far since I first started serving with her in Crawley. I love serving with her, we are having a ton of fun.
I had a chance to work with Sister Burrows again this week. We did an exchange with her so I went to East Grinstead with her and Sister Allred came to Haywards Heath with Sis Howard. It was fun to work with Sister Burrows again, she is such a great missionary.
I talked to Sister Keogh the other night. President Shamo told her she could call me pretty much whenever she wants. It sounds like she is doing well considering the circumstances. Her brother is getting home from his mission I think this week so it will be a good distraction for her. She said she would start calling Robert weekly to help him cause he still struggles a bit but he's still going to church and everything. I'm hoping he will make a trip to the temple soon so I can see him. I saw tons of people I know at the temple this week. One of the families who was reactivated when I was in High Wycombe went through the temple for their first time on Saturday and that is the day I work at the VC so I got to see them! There was a whole crew of people from the HW ward. It was so fun to see everyone and catch up with them. I really hope that one day I will make it back to HW. I felt like I was leaving family when I left!
I also saw Laurie Beardall at the temple on Saturday!! Laurie was my sorority advisor. She is traveling around England with her husband and her sister and they happened to quickly stop by the temple on Saturday! It was so weird seeing them but it was so much fun to talk with her! It was so random haha she said she would come visit you and show you pics :)
This week has been really great. It makes me sad cause time really is just moving faster and faster. I seriously don't even know what happened this week. This transfer is almost over. I really hope I stay in Haywards Heath. I really like it hear. But who knows. President seems to like to move me around lately. Nigel is doing really well. Just keep him in your prayers. We are having a difficult time meeting with him frequently because he is so busy and he decided to take the alpha course...boo. I think he studies with JW's as well. He wants to make sure that The Church of Jesus Christ is right for him. Which is good but I think it will make some things difficult. He talks with his cousin, liz, about church and everything though and he loves church and he's been watching conference online and is really enjoying that as well. He is so great. sadly we won't be able to see him till Sunday this week which is a bummer. He actually lives in Crawley but he wants to be baptized in Haywards Heath so we've gotten permission to teach him.
We're struggling a bit with finding more people to teach in Haywards Heath. However, on chat we're teaching loads of people from sweden and portugal and lithuania. It's pretty crazy. We have a few people who are hopefully now meeting with missionaries and one of them has a baptism date for Dec 24. It is so weird teaching people over chat but it seems to be surprisingly effective.
Sister Howard and I did a session at the temple this week. It was so nice. I have been so spoiled with getting permission to attend the temple. That is one major plus of serving so close to the area it is in and serving at the VC. Most of the missionaries haven't been since December. The HW couple that just went through will be getting sealed next month and so I'm hoping I can get permission to go to the sealing. That would be such a great experience! If I'm still serving close to the temple I am sure I can get permission from President.
I really hope I stay in Haywards Heath this next transfer. Sister Howard and I have got some great ideas but they won't really get going until this next week probably. President has been wanting us to use family history more often as an approach so we are going to try to start teaching people how to do family history. I need to learn how first though haha but conveniently enough, the senior couple at the VC is going to help us figure it all out :) so hopefully that will get going soon, President has really been wanting people to use it more and no one really does but I will try! Even though I have no idea what I am doing.
How is the weather in Utah? It is beautiful here. It's been really sunny but it is getting colder and colder. I'll need a new supply of handwarmers soon haha you know how I do in the cold.
Today Sister Howard and I are going to Brighton for pday. It is down by the coast. Apparently it is kinda like the San Francisco of England? I don't know if that is good or bad but I liked San Fran when we went! It should be fun and hopefully we will get to see the coast and get some cool pics.

Things are going so well. I am so happy. I love being here in England and being a missionary. It is so much fun! I think I'll stay :)
It sounds like you are doing really well. I hope you have a great week! Thank you for the letters. I'm so grateful for all you do. I love you!!

Prunes and Custard

yes. I had prunes and custard at a dinner appointment this week. I definitely do not recommend it.

Anyway, how are you?! How has your week been? I can't believe you had snow already! That is so crazy. The weather has been a little cold this last week but not too bad yet. I'll need to pull out my winter coat soon enough though. That will be a sad day.
Well, first up in the London South. Sister Keogh went home :( That was a sad day. I was talking to her almost every night and she kept saying over and over that she feels like she needs to stay and then I called her early last week and she said 'I'm going home' she had prayed a lot about it and we had fasted together on Sunday and she said she felt like going home now was right. She had needed to stay until this point. President Shamo told her he would work through it with her and she didn't have to go home just yet but she said she knew it was the right thing to do. We go as the Spirit directs. She was an incredible missionary and I'm so glad I got to work with her. We had a lot of fun and saw so many miracles together, even with being stuck in a flat all the time :) She was pretty emotional the day she was going home but she still had a sense of peace. Heavenly Father has a different plan for her right now and she knows that. She said she will be coming to Utah within the next year so it will be fun to see her again! Maybe one day I will even make it to Scotland :)

It's been a great week! We've had some frustrating moments but we've also seen some miracles. We have this woman in our ward, Elizabeth, who has been sharing the gospel with her cousin, Nigel, and he has been studying on his own and with Elizabeth. I think I told you about him a little bit last week? He came with Liz to the Visitors Center this week and he loved it. He seemed to have a really great time. We were the only ones in the vc and we got to teach him. It was a really amazing experience, the spirit was so strong the entire lesson. Sister Howard and I were being led in all our words and the scriptures we were using. We talked with Nigel about baptism and he wants to be baptized! He said he wants to take his time with it though so it won't be until December 10. That is far away but it is ok because he can only meet with us once a week anyway. He is such a good guy. So sincere and humble. Liz is an amazing missionary. She's helping Nigel a lot and she also texted us recently saying she was at a lecture and all these people started talking about family history so now we are going to start teaching family history class for them, probably next week. That will be tough cause I've never really done family history but the senior couple at the vc will train us and help us teach it because they have a lot of experience with it.

Yesterday was funny. Sister Howard and I got to sing in sacrament which was fun! but we had an Elder who just finished his mish here in elsm come back and visit. He served in Haywards Heath so he came to visit the ward. It was so funny cause we saw him there and then we stopped by less actives after church and he was there too. I didn't like teaching them with him there. Pressure.. ha! It was really wierd but he helped us a lot actually cause he gave us tips with visiting a few recent converts.

I've had a few opportunities to talk with people who want to serve missions one day. At the vc on Saturday this father and daughter were there and he came up to us and asked if we could talk to his daughter about serving a mission. she is only 10 but she wants to go one day and he was so excited that his daughter got to talk to sister missionaries because she never had before. it was a really cool experience. I also had a chance to talk to this guy last night about serving. He comes to the vc a lot because he lives in the area. He is in his 20's and he was baptized last October. He is a really cool kid. I saw him last night and we started talking about missions. He really wants to go but his parents are a little bit anti towards the church and especially towards missions. It's really been a struggle for him but it was good to just share my testimony of missionary work and that if it is what Heavenly Father wants him to do he will have that opportunity. He really wants to go and he would be a great missionary so I hope his parents will support him more on that.
Speaking of future missionaries, I am so excited for all the girls from our ward serving and preparing to serve!! How many sisters is that now? I think like 6? yess holladay 26 :) Missions are the best. It is going by way too fast. We're already half way through this transfer!

We had training this week as well. Lots and lots and lots of practice. It was good but I was so sick of role play by the end. Sister Howard and I had a cool experience afterwords though. The training was in Crawley and we had gotten there before the gates were opened for the car park so we parked in a little neighborhood and walked over. when we were walking back I saw a lady across the street so we went over and ended up talking to her for about half and hour. She had a lot of questions about the church and our beliefs. I tried to get her to come to the chapel with us for a chapel tour (and she could just happen to meet president... he can convert anyone) :) but she didn't have time. She didn't want to meet with missionaries either but it was just fun to teach her and talk with her and she was so excited to have a book of mormon and read from it. Sister Howard is improving a lot as well. She is pretty shy with talking to people but this last week I've really seen a difference in her. We've had a lot of fun contacting and bearing our testimonies to people.

well, I gotta go. Thank you for everything! I love you so much and I'm grateful for your love and support! It helps me a lot :) have a great week! I love you!

Beautiful England!

Hello :) how are you this week? Didn't you love conference!! I still haven't watched all of it sadly. I saw all of it except the Sunday afternoon session. Usually they show it a couple weeks later in sacrament meeting but who knows if I will ever get to watch it. I hope so!
I think time is starting to go faster and faster... I don't even know what happened this week.

We had Zone Conference on Tuesday and it was soo good! I always learn so much from President and Sister Shamo. They are the best. I saw Sister Keogh at the Conference. She didn't look very good. Poor girl. Her companion had called me monday afternoon and she was really worried cause sister k had been passed out for a good 15-20 minutes. Her poor companion didn't know what to do so she figured she would call me cause I know how to deal with it. I just talked her through it and tried to help but there wasn't much I could do. she had been doing so well last transfer but this transfer has been a lot worse and she's been passing out again. I think she even passed out a couple times during the conference. Most the time during conference we were training so I didn't get much of a chance to talk with sister k but when I went to talk to her after she was in tears. She told me she doesn't know if she can deal with this health problem/anxiety anymore and she wants to go home but I think she was just saying that out of frustration. She called me later that night and said that she doesn't want to go home she just doesn't know if she can fight through it anymore but she feels like she needs to stay on her mission. I feel so bad for her and I wish I could help her. It has got to be so hard to have such a strong desire to do the work but struggle so much physically. She said President Shamo has talked to her dad about it and he will be calling her today with a decision of what he will have to do with her. At this point who knows? I think President is really getting frustrated with it and doesn't know what to do with her. Just pray for her :) She will be ok and it will all work out but it is just a really difficult situation.

Sister Howard got sick for a bit this week. It was like the good old days with sister k. I was able to keep myself pretty busy though. our flat is really clean :) and our map now has stickers telling us where members and less actives live haha the great part was at zone conference president gave us all portable dvd players. dead serious :) I can only imagine the apostasy that will be happening.... We have them so we can do training on them. there are a lot of PMG training videos and they show missionaries teaching people. It is kinda like a documentary thing. so while she was sick, that night I watched some movies. all of which are approved don't worry! but that got old quickly...you can only watch Finding Faith in Christ so many times. ;)

We've seen a lot of miracles this week. White washing is hard but we're getting adjusted. we're still just trying to get things moving which is taking longer than I was hoping. however the ward here is so amazing and they actually do missionary work! there is this woman who has been bring her cousin to church and he is very interested. We will be teaching him at the temple this week. He got up in priesthood last week and basically told everyone he knows it is true. But for some reason he doesn't want to meet with us yet. I don't know why but I'm excited to have him at the temple. it works every time:)

We also met this really cool girl, Pinal, from India. she is awesome. she has been in England for about a year and she was so excited when she came here because she really wanted to learn about all the churches and get involved with the communities but turns out not many people in England go to church. huh. Sister Howard approached her and said 'do you have any friends that want to learn about christianity?' and she was like 'no, but I do!' haha it was really cool! we talked with her about Jesus Christ, she is hindu so her beliefs are very different. we want to get her to the temple on wednesday as well. She seems really interested in learning about our church.

that is pretty much my week. conference was definitely the highlight. I loved it! President Monson is so funny :) There were so many great talks and I learned a lot. I was so sad when it ended.

Haywards Heath is a lot of fun. the ward members are so cool and they are always calling us checking up on us and making sure we have dinners and everything. they are amazing!

England is so beautiful right now. the leaves are changing but the weather has been surprisingly hot this week. I'm dreading the cold weather. I got so cold last year!

Thank you so much for everything! It sounds like you are doing great :) I missed the egg mcmuffins for breakfast conference morning.
I love you! have a great week!
